In 1972 Honda introduced some model updates to the 500 Four. This is the original brochure for the American market. It shows an American version of the CB500 Four K1 in Candy Garnet Brown. Other colors available for the K1 where Candy Custom Gold and Candy Jade Green.
In these pictures you can see some of the distinctive features for the second model year: the bigger reflectors on the headlight mounts, a seat with a different seat pattern, a different seat lock and a higher grab bar around the seat to accommodate the larger rear light. Also seen here are the high handlebars used on American versions.
